LASTING TRANSITIONS

Transitions commence new adventures. Make 'em last…

Hangeul Day in Hapjeong

Last Wednesday was Korean-Language Day and I had the day off.

The sun was bright, but not hot. The sky was aquamarine and without any clouds. It was a wonderful day.

Persimmon trees were full of ripe fruit and wild vines wrapped houses.

I walked around my favorite area of Seoul: Hapjeong. I really love it there.

Turn left outside Hapjeong subway exit 3 or 5. Here you can enter a labyrinth of hidden treasures. There are very many secluded, unique cafes.

I always find something new.

There are also a variety of tucked away book cafes. Sometimes people spend their entire day chatting and reading free books. Why not?

Hapjeong is also home to a multitude of small family restaurants that have been around a very long time. The food they serve is quite tasty.

A solitary couple enjoys a meal at peace in the middle of Hapjeong.

Jenny’s Cafe,

Jenny’s Cafe, a cozy restaurant I want to try.

There are also some bizarre cafes and restaurants.

Outside most Italian restaurants in South Korea, wine bottle and cork art is also very common.

(8) Wine Art

Wall art and some graffiti is common and often funny.

Then… there is always something that makes me laugh.

Hapjeong/Sangsu area is where I always like to go to find a cool hideout. Maybe you can find yours.
